A picture of my room

You're probably wondering what that ungodly thing beside you is. It's a picture I made of my room in Photoshop, minus the clutter. Originally, I was planning my $50 for Shenaniganry event (just as way to redecorate the house for about $50 a room, including bathrooms and converted closets etc.), but after the outburst my mom threw this morning about, oh-my-gosh, me cleaning up my own room, I'll forget about it for the moment. But either way, each piece of furniture is on a separate layer. They're not drawn to scale and the furniture is so hard to move that I probably wouldn't try. But you know, change is usually good.

I'm absolutely obsessed with typography nowadays. Occasionally, it's my failing point. In trying to write an additional beginning for my novel, I paused for about three hours to find the perfect font for it. I tried Apple Garamond (a very nice set of fonts), Chanticleer Roman, CM Tiempo, Day Roman, all the way to Thyromanes. In the end, I settled on the next font, Timeless, although this is by no means a final decision. It looks great large, but blurry small as demonstrated below:

A demonstration of the font, Timeless, at a large size.
A demonstration of the font, Timeless, at 12pts in my novel.

The top demonstration is very clear, very nice. The bottom makes me so sad. The font would be perfect if it didn't fall over itself. The larger I make it, the blurrier it gets, unless I make it extremely large. So it's back to the drawing board on looking for the perfect serif font, I suppose.

Needless to say, because of these hurdles, the section I was writing hasn't been finished :(

What I really need to do is get an antimatter gun and get rid of half my stuff. I have a packrat complex for everything which makes it hard to clean :(

And thanks, JR :)
