I've had a lot on my mind the past few days. For example, my already odd looking feet are suddenly covered in scars and bumps from my warfare against mosquitos — musca (L) » mosca (Sp) » mosca + ito = mosquito (Sp) — and while getting my skin ripped off in preparation for having it burned off in Phoenix, I realized how strange they looked compared to the rest of me. Bad feet, bad!
I'll be in Phoenix for about three weeks and it might be the perfect time for me to chill, and hopefully for my mom to chill. We've been on the edge all day because she won't stop reminding me that I'm leaving (I really don't want to go so much anymore) and she won't let me pack my own suitcase. It's like she constantly wants to baby me — something I hate — so she won't feel guilty about not having done it when I'm older. Best of all, she's missing my flight because she has work. Make that 3 weeks and a day without my mom.
Third, Arizona has some beautiful (if not absolutely burning) scenery that I might be able to sketch and write about. But if I fall down the Grand Canyon if my mule's a real ass, the three things I want are: a mariachi band, a vat of guacamole, and Oasis+Radiohead playing music together. Forever!
About the picture: I realize it's pretty bad but I wanted to go on my vacation having left you guys with something to look and chuckle at. Look at her big nose! Such a big nose!

I know how you feel about the heat, but at least its a good place for pictures. CLICK CLICK! Just keep yourself hydrated and get a hat with a wide brim and patched top - it helps with the heat. Oh, and don’t ask any of the local residents there for directions or good roads/shortcuts because THEY LIE!!! Ask the people actually going back and forth to the destination of choice - they can give you the right information and details you need. IT WILL SAVE YOU TIME AND MONIES I SWEAR!
